Yamba and nearby Angourie are a 9-hour drive north of Sydney and 3 hours south of Brisbane meaning they enjoy a mild climate fairly similar to the Gold Coast in Queensland. They’ve been a haven for surfers since they were ‘discovered’ in the 1960’s and a National Surfing Reserve was established here in 2007.
